On Saturday, May 7 sarcoma survivors, family members and friends will gather at the Hudson High School football field (Morgan Bowl) for the 7th annual Jennifer Hunter Yates Sarcoma Foundation (JHYSF) 12,402 Steps to Cure Sarcoma Walk. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Walk-ins are welcome. Since 2005, the JHYSF has raised nearly $700,000 for the MGH Center for Sarcoma and Connective Tissue Oncology, with 95 cents of every dollar going directly to the Center. “The JHYSF has completely transformed our ability to do sarcoma research,” says MGH oncologist Dr. David Harmon. “It’s taken us from a very rudimentary level to a highly advanced level in just six years. It’s like night and day.”
