Let Creativity Flow!
May 2 - June 27, 2011
Embark on a visual journey at the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) at the new class “Studio Watercolor with Jacob Higginbottom” beginning Monday, May 2nd, 2011 from 7:45PM-9:15PM. Using watercolors and mixed wet media, students will learn how to work off of photographs to create eye-catching landscapes. Higginbottom, whose paintings were featured in the Gallery at the BCAE as part of the Art Everywhere Project, will show students how to exaggerate forms and colors to bring life to inanimate subjects while incorporating composition, basic color mixing theory and value and brush technique. No watercolor experience required, but basic drawing skills encouraged! Instructor Jacob Higginbottom began his art education in high school, progressing into watercolor and mixed wet medias throughout his artistic journey. His paintings are inspired throughout his travels; such places include the Maine Coast, Block Island, and Boston. Higginbottom believes that successful art and composition is as much of a science as it is an expression. Join Higginbottom for a fun, 7 session workshop and let your creativity flow!
