Convivium’s Spring 2011 program evokes the 1588 contest of arms between Spain's Philip II and England's Elizabeth I in glorious polyphony! War-inspired works by Victoria, Francisco Guerrero, Rogier, and Byrd, including Mass settings of Janequin's martial chanson La Bataille de Marignan.
