Desiderare is a full evening length dance/theatre piece suggestive of nineteenth century brothel workers where seven women are waiting. The chairs that support them in their wait become a part of their story; a leverage for change, a representation of inner strength or resignation, a voice in solidarity, a tool of passion, a prison metaphor. The work invokes images of women who are tough, resilient and independent.
