      Walked out at the interval. Incoherent story line. Trying too hard to convey a serious message and the end result is just a pretentious mish-mash. At times I also felt that it is a little insensitive... Expand

      Walked out at the interval. Incoherent story line. Trying too hard to convey a serious message and the end result is just a pretentious mish-mash. At times I also felt that it is a little insensitive towards a different culture. Heard from friends, that the second half gets better. Well...well. Acting was borderline hysterical. Collapse

      There are a number of reviews on the internet that explain the story and a few that even review this production, so I would like to contribute something different. Exactly one month ago, we had the privilege (as Company One Members) to attend an open rehearsal of 1001, where the actors were only beginning to master their lines. And did they ever! This is not a simple script and last night I was so impressed with the end result. There were many scene changes, costume changes and accent changes, yet flawless delivery from all six actors. I've seen Nael Nacer in four productions recently, and I think he is going places! This was a great night of theater and I want to see it again. Everything Company One does is top notch, and I very much appreciate the opportunities and extras they offer their members! Membership is very reasonable and Company One is a gem. Collapse
