Terry Barber's "A Sacred Journey" Concert Tour
June 16 - June 21, 2011
International countertenor vocalist, Terry Barber, will return to the Northeast on tour in June, performing the 35th concert of his “Sacred Journey” tour which has been invited to Moscow, Russia in the winter this year. A history of western sacred music which Barber calls “Classical music for everyone”, the tour has raised thousands for community outreach through sacred spaces across the USA, through support from “Artists For A Cause Inc” a nonprofit which facilitates artist support of the community (www.a4ac.org) Terry was a member of the Grammy winning group, Chanticleer, and has had contracts internationally at many of the world’s best venues including the Metropolitan Opera, Moscow’s Svetlanov Hall, and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. Terry sings in many ranges and styles, delighting his audience with a history of western sacred music from Gregorian Chant to modern favorites, touching on major composer through time, like Bach, Handel, Mozart, Faure, and Bernstein. Barber has been successful in increasing the audience for classical music with this inspired program.

Reviews raved: "Barber has star quality. He sang “Qui sedes” with the panache of a Baroque opera hero." – Pierre Ruhe (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
"Terry Barber, countertenor, who was revelatory. His Agnus Dei was the high point of the entire concert, and he used his ease and facility across the entire alto range to beautifully express everything Bach gave him to say." - www.WheatWilliams.com
