OUTSIDE THE CITY

‘Reach for the Sky’ is a family event that will jump-start with a beautiful ferry ride into the island; outdoor activities on the island’s sandy beach such as kite flying, Frisbee, volleyball and cricket; and Indian snacks provided by well-known local restaurant (Passage To India).

All proceeds will go towards the Learning & Migration Program (LAMP) at the American Indian Foundation (AIF). LAMP connects children of migrant workers to continuous primary education, preventing them from dropping out, and promoting age-appropriate learning. Till 2010, the program had reached out to 237,504 children in migration prone geographies of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, and slums of Bihar.
