Described by Manohla Dargis of the New York Times as “a harrowing, visually strong look at the violence washing over contemporary Mexico,” Summer of Goliath blends fiction and documentary as it follows Teresa, who embarks on a mission to find out what happened to her suddenly departed husband. Instead of finding answers, Teresa’s quest becomes a journey through the streets and homes of the village’s corporeal landscape, generating encounters with people suffering the effects of lost loved ones, broken promises, disconnection and eternal longing.
