OUTSIDE THE CITY

On Saturday, June 11, at noon Boston Pride will host its 41st annual Pride Parade and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating this exciting and important event.

The largest gay pride event in New England, and one of the most popular on the Eastern Seaboard, Boston Gay Pride takes place each year in mid-June - in 2011, the main parade, festival, and neighborhood block parties take place the weekend of June 11 and June 12, but there are a number of related community events held throughout the prior week (including a Pride Day Celebration at Faneuil Hall), held Saturday, June 4.

The parade will start in Boston's South End on Berkeley Street at Tremont Street and will end at City Hall Plaza, site of the Pride Festival.

For the first time, Boston Pride, in cooperation with Super Duck Tours, will have an upper deck trolley in the Parade for those in our community who wish to participate in the parade but are physically unable to walk the 2.1 mile route. Thanks to the donation from Super Ducks, the upper deck trolley can hold up to 32 folks plus 2 wheelchairs.
