The Play Factory, WCT’s black box theatre series, provides student actors the opportunity to gain advanced theatre skills while rehearsing and performing a literature-based, non-musical play with professionally designed costumes, scenery, and lighting. Actors will benefit from collaborating within a small cast to develop a fully-staged production for the public and students from local schools.

The play begins as Poe is dying, and as he struggles with death, he recounts his life. Exploring tragedy, comedy, fantasy, and Poe’s most famous works, including The Tell-Tale Heart and The Raven, the ensemble of actors will re-create the life and works of one of America’s greatest poets.
