Go behind the scenes - literally - into the verdant green spaces of the Moreland Street Historic District. View a rich profusion of flowers, learn about The Food Project's farm, and visit the beautiful backyard gardens in Roxbury's hidden spaces. The tour is led by the aptly-named Tom Plant, Director of Special Projects in the Environmental Health Office of the Boston Public Health Commission.

Like the gardens, this tour happens rain or shine. Be sure to wear sturdy, comfortable shoes for walking up and down irregular ground.

    Visits include:
    • Shirley-Eustis House
    • Boston Day & Evening Academy
    • Kim Janey
    • Marie Lindahl
    • Blanka's Flowers and Gifts

    Trolley departs:
9:40am: Hotel 140, 140 Clarendon St, Back Bay
10am: Roxbury Heritage State Park/DCR, 183 Roxbury St, Roxbury
