Red Auerbach, played by Jeff Gill, tells the story that opened the NBA to black players and resulted in 17 NBA championship banners hanging in Boston Garden. Written and directed by Red's lifelong friend, Ken Dooly, the play reveals a side of Red known only to his family and closest friends. The Auerbach Dynasty follows the cigar-chomping coach from his college player days to his drafting of the first black player into the NBA to his triumphs as the brains behind the winning Boston Celtics.
