    Pan Loco Steel Band

    The Pan Loco Steel Band brings the sweet sounds of the Caribbean to the Atheneum Garden. The band features an authentic, mixed ethnic ensemble consisting of two steel drummers, an electric bass player and a percussionist. Playing throughout New England since 1991, the talented musicians play calypso, reggae and island music from the Caribbean. Bring a folding chair or towel to sit on.     The Pan Loco Steel Band brings the sweet sounds of the Caribbean to the Atheneum Garden. The band features an authentic, mixed ethnic ensemble consisting of two steel drummers, an electric bass player and a percussionist. Playing throughout New England since 1991, the talented musicians play calypso, reggae and island music from the Caribbean. Bring a folding chair or towel to sit on. Pan Loco will also play a shorter children's program at 5:00 PM for the Summer Reading Kick-off. In the event of rain, this show will be moved to the Great Hall.
