Summer in the City presents Jungle Jim’s Wild about Balloons & Agenda for Children’s StoryWalk

Summer in the City, a FREE, outdoor performance series, produced by the Cambridge Arts Council, takes place in parks and open spaces throughout Cambridge. Geared especially for children, families and the entire community, the series features a wide array of multicultural, interactive arts programs, performances, and activities both day and night, including music, dance, storytellers, theatrical performances, puppetry, arts & crafts, movies and more! Jungle Jim, a family entertainer and professional balloon artist, puts on an engaging and interactiveperformance, featuring music and elaborate balloon-making. After the performance, join the StoryWalk Cambridge kick-off event in Vellucci Plaza featuring arts & crafts activities and snacks. Free copies of the StoryWalk books will be handed out (while supplies last) of Stick by Steve Breen and Turtle Splash! by Cathryn Falwell. As part of the program, participating businesses will display a page from the same children’s book in their street-front windows and offer discounts and giveaways to children and families.
