Vieux Farka Touré crafts Malian blues songs in the rich Sonrai tradition of his late father, famed guitarist Ali Farka Touré. With his latest album, The Secret, Vieux blends generations, making it difficult to surmise where Vieux begins and Ali ends. His role is of a global ambassador, carrying on and sharing his African culture with the planet, while taking the sounds of the West and bringing them back to Africa, creating an irresistible Afro-pop sound all his own. Bongo Love will open.
