    “Music for those weary of the mainstream.”—All Music Guide

    Formed in 1995, Secret Chiefs 3 is led by guitarist/composer Trey Spruance, formerly of the bands Mr. Bungle and Faith No More. Their live shows and studio recordings feature a revolving cast of musicians, all capable of contributing to the wide range of musical styles incorporated into the band’s music. Under the moniker Secret Chiefs 3 exist seven “satellite bands,” each representing one of Spruance’s musical interests. Having garnered a reputation for the power of their live shows, one might hear music ranging from cinematic grandeur and surf guitar dabbling in electronica to demonic death metal, fast paced Middle Eastern rhythms and pseudo-folk Turkish/Central Asian tunings. Fat 32 will open.
