Noah Preminger and Ben Monder Unite For Jazz Performance of The Summer at The Beehive

Noah Preminger, nominated for the “Up and Coming Jazz Artist” award by the Jazz Journalists Association in 2009, will give the performance of the summer at The Beehive on Tuesday, July 19th 2011. From 8:00PM-12:00AM, the young and fearless tenor player will be performing songs off his sophomore album “Before the Rain,” accompanied by virtuoso guitarist Ben Monder, Matt Pavolka on bass and Colin Stranahan on drums. The group’s concepts are influenced by various genres including everything from classic and contemporary jazz to hard rock to ambient music.

Noah’s debut album “Dry Bridge Road” was labeled “jazz debut of the year” by the prestigious Village Voice poll and immediately gained him stellar recognition. He has worked and performed with Dave Liebman, Billy Hart, Joel Frahm, Kendra Shank, and Bob Moses, to name a few. He has also been a saxophonist in various groups such as his own Noah Preminger Sextet and Quartet, Cecil McBee’s “Transcend” Group, the Dana Lauren Group and numerous others.
