    Kiki, a western lowland gorilla, will turn 30 in August. In honor of this special day, Franklin Park Zoo is throwing a birthday party for her on Sunday, August 21. Visit the Tropical Forest to see the gorilla exhibit festively decorated and watch as Kiki and all of the gorillas enjoy birthday treats made especially for them! Additionally, visitors can sign a giant birthday card for Kiki and learn more about her and the other gorillas.

    Kiki is the mother of Kira (who turns 12 on August 8), Kimani, age 6, and Kambiri, age 9 months. Kiki and her daughters can be seen on exhibit every day at Franklin Park Zoo. Zookeepers describe Kiki as a great mom who is very patient.

    Be sure to stop by on August 21 to wish Kiki a happy birthday!
