Brahms: Der Frühling (transcribed for string orchestra)

    Chadwick: Serenade in F
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons (with Daniel Stepner)

Daniel Stepner, one of North America's preeminent Baroque violinists, leads the BCO in Vivaldi's vivid musical traversal "The Four Seasons". Complementing this iconic masterpiece are works by other nature-inspired composers: Brahms' blooming invocation of Spring, and George Chadwick's neo-Romantic Serenade, a bucolic New England charmer. Steven Lipsitt conducts. One hour before each concert Mary Ann Nichols provides delicious details about the music and the composers who wrote it.
