Daydreaming in Cuban: Sandra Dooley & Eduardo Guerra
Presented by Galeria Cubana
August 12 - September 11, 2011
Daydreaming in Cuban: It is a collection of paintings and collographs by two of Cuba's most prolific artists, Sandra Dooley and Eduardo Guerra.
A self-taught artist, Dooley’s paintings reflect her daily life at home with family, friends and pets. Essential in her work is the contemplative expressions of her mainly female subjects.
Guerra masters his unique brand of ‘Colagrafia,’ a hybrid printmaking and etching technique. No two works are alike as he uses different colors for each piece. The collographs are pressed onto handmade paper adding texture, shape and depth to his subjects.
Do not miss this opportunity to experience the dream and magic of Cuban Art.
