Bruce Millard covers an ever-expanding range of American music, having worked with Howard 'Louie Bluie' Armstrong (with whom he appears in the PBS TV documentary Sweet Old Song), Tarbox Ramblers, Jim Kweskin, Men & Volts, Elijah Wald, John Lincoln Wright, Tower of Power, Henry Lewy, Johnny Hoy, Anita Suhanin, Shirley Lewis and others. Millard's own band, Hokum's Heroes, has performed throughout the U.S., bringing a personal, modern approach to early string band, jazz and blues, releasing two CDs and appearing on various roots compilations. Millard, an Indie Award nominee, performed the music for the animated film 'Crosswalk Man' and the recently released 'Kansas Peaches.' An evening of traditional and original music, camaraderie and sparks.
