Thursday September 1st at 7:30pm, vocalist Melissa Kassel and pianist/saxophonist Tom Zicarelli return to the Lily Pad with trumpeter Phil Grenadier, drummer Gary Fieldman, and special guest bassist Bruce Gertz. Last month the Boston Globe wrote: “This marvelous vocalist rarely takes a predictable path through a song, yet never sounds merely contrived or contradictory.” If you haven’t heard the group recently you’re in for a treat. The repertoire and the chemistry just keep on growing - featuring new original material and standards that sound anything but standard.
