The James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition will present Christina Hughes, winner of the 31st annual contest, in recital Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 3:00 pm at New England Conservatory of Music, Williams Hall, 290 Huntington Avenue, Boston. Pianist Deborah DeWolf Emery will accompany Ms. Hughes. The program will include music of J. S. Bach, Aaron Copland, André Jolivet, and George Enescu, and will feature a new work by Theodore Antoniou which was commissioned for this contest.
