The Boston New Music Initiative, Inc. will kick off its third concert season with Opening Night, an evening of works by eight living composers. From solo electroacoustic pieces to large chamber ensembles with video, Douglas McRay Daniels, music director and Nathan Lofton, associate music director, will lead the BNMI ensemble in presenting new music by emerging and established composers chosen from an international call for scores. On the program: Ian Dicke - Assembly Lines; Kirsten Volness - Sleeping in the Forest (world premiere); Kyong Mee Choi - Sublimation; Clifton Callender - Metamorphoses; Garrett Byrnes - Villanelle; Gabriele Vanoni - Blurry Landscapes; Chris Arrell - Argot; Michael Gandolfi - As Above. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for students, available online or at the door on the evening of the concert.
