From Hilary Tann's meditation on ancient Celtic texts to Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' extraordinary Piano Trio, inspired by the people, music, and beauty of the tiny Fair Isle in the remote Shetlands, we give you Chameleon's own “Idea of North,” a journey through musical landscapes of solitude, spirit, nature and legend.

    Program:
Jean Sibelius, Four Pieces for cello & piano, Op. 78
Peter Maxwell Davies, Voyage to Fair Isle for piano trio (2002)
Carl Nielsen, Wind Quintet, Op. 43
Hilary Tann, From the Song of the Amergin for flute, viola & harp
Edvard Grieg, Sonata No. 3 in c minor for violin & piano, Op. 45
