A moving chronicle of the violent riots that followed the acquittal of four white Los Angeles police officers in the beating of Rodney King, an African-American. Presented in the words of participants, victims, adversaries, and onlookers of the events, the story not only explores the disturbing trauma of the riots, but also the underlying racial tensions within America.
