Whistler in the Dark and the Charlestown Working Theatre join forces to bring a special two-week festival exploring ancient texts in new ways.

Charlestown Working Theatre Presents: The Odyssey
    Created & Performed by CWT
Co-Directors Jennifer Johnson & John Peitso

An adaptation of Homer's epic poem for two people traveling together in a small boat, sailing across a half-real, half imaginary landscape. This tale of exile and return is told in fragments, floating on top of song, text, image, and physicality - a kaleidescope of one-eyed giants, voodoo priestesses, and seafarers, surrounding the story of Odysseus and Penelope.

Whistler in the Dark Presents: The Bacchae
    By Euripides
    Translation by Francis Blessington
    Directed by Meg Taintor

A new re-staging the of highly acclaimed 2009 production
