    Gilding & Frame Restoration

    Co-sponsored by Eastern Mass. Guild of Woodworkers

    Restore antique gilded picture and mirror frames with genuine gold leaf, using traditional water gilding, burnishing and oil gilding. You will also learn to make your own gilder's gesso and bole, make molds to replace missing ornaments, repair damaged gesso and tone gold leaf repairs. To the first class, bring a notebook and an object to restore. All levels welcome. Note: This class is offered in Fall term only.
