Artist reception: Thursday, October 6, 5 to 7 pm
Louise Lane was one of the founding members of the Falmouth Artists Guild and is a longtime juried member of the Cape Cod Art Association. She studied with some influential painters, but says the most influential artist who touched her creative spirit was Sam Feinstein. For nearly a decade, until his death in 2003, she spent summers painting with him and other students in the Old Barn in Dennis. Here, she was influenced by Feinstein’s mature, abstract paintings, and what Feinstein’s widow calls “his own unique language of color.” Louise continues to explore the power of color, and in this exhibition, she shares her journey of exploration
