    Anne-Emmanuelle Birn is a renowned global health scholar, Professor at University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health, and the lead editor of the recently revised classic Textbook of International Health: Global Health in a Dynamic World. Birn’s areas of research include international health; women; history of public health in Latin America (particularly Mexico and Uruguay); international health policy and politics (past and present); and historical demography—infant mortality, societal determinants of health, and comparative health policy in Latin America.
