All but forgotten by music history, Johannes Ciconia (ca. 1370-1412) lived between the 14th-century giants Machaut and Landini and the first giant of the 15th century, Dufay. His rarely-heard challenging and sophisticated music as well as works by his more well-known contemporaries is brought to life by the accomplished singers of Exsultemus.
