A Chorus Line
October 14 - October 29, 2011
Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts presents Broadway's longest running American musical, A Chorus Line, featuring the original Broadway choreography recreated by Julia Fiske and Rebecca Robichaud. The musical debuted in 1975 and has continued through the years to inspire artists, dreamers, and people of ambition with its engaging look into the lives, loves, hopes and dreams of the dancers of the chorus line. Winner of nine Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, this singular sensation follows 16 dancers as they audition to be in the chorus of a new musical, bringing each into the spotlight, and allowing these normally anonymous faces to tell their story — from the exhilaration and joy to the sweat and tears that make up the life of a would-be star.
