Mango Tree Artisans Presents: Mexican Folk Art Painting Workshop
November 6, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Create your own beautifully painted Oxacan folk art scupture to take home!
Starting with a carved, unpainted wooden animal sculpture supplied by the instructors, Silvia and Efrain Fuentes will demonstrate and coach you step by step as you create the imaginative designs, intricate patterns and vivid colors of the Oaxacan folk tradition. These sculptures, sometimes called alebrijes, are found in museums worldwide. Each is unique, and reflects the creativity of the individual artist as well as the Mexican Zapotec tradition. No previous artistic training or experience is needed.
