Yelimane Fall
November 10-December 16, 2011
Add Review/Comment
Senegalese artist and community activist Yelimane Fall creates graphically dynamic poster-like paintings and murals that he refers to as “stations of the soul,” inspired by his study of the teachings of Ahmadou Bamba, the influential Muslim Sufi religious leader. In addition to smaller works, Fall will undertake a collaborative painting in the Sherman Gallery with BU School of Visual Arts students to be completed during the exhibition, reflecting the artists’ practice of working with young people in Senegal through site-specific arts projects. Free and open to the public. Call 617-353-3371 for details. Presented by the Boston University College of Fine Arts.
