    pianist George Li Jordan Hall Recital Debut

    16y old pianist George Li is an artist with the soul of a romantic matched by brilliant technique. A first Prizes winner of the 2010 Young Concert Artists Auditions, the 2010 Cooper International Piano Competition, and the 2012 Gilmore Young Artist Award. Recently, he was invited to perform at the State dinner for Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Obama at the White House. He will make his debuts at DC’s Kennedy Center, New York’s Merkin Hall, Boston’s Gardner Museum, and Vancouver as the Gilmore Young Artist winner. He has performed as the soloist with the Cleveland, the Boston Philharmonic, the Simon Bolivar Youth orchestras among others. Appeared on “From the Top” on NPR and WNET. He performed at the opening of Boston’s new Institute of Contemporary Art, the inauguration of President Tony Woodcock at the New England Conservatory, the Hilton Head International Piano Competition and the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition. Program at his Jordan Hall Recital Debut includes works by Czerny, Schoenberg, Beethoven, Ravel, and Liszt. Free student tickets available online. 781-259-8195
