Dining Like a Diplomat
October 17, 2011
WHAT: Elbows off the table, napkin placed gently in the lap, and a warm, gracious “thank you” to the host are all well mannered givens. However, what if you are the host? Join the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) and recognized etiquette and protocol expert, Susan Callender, CEO of “Oh My Gauche!” for “Dining Like a Diplomat,” a class that will teach any host or hostess how to properly entertain guests while making them feel like they’re right at home!
Callender will teach students how to impress their guests, no matter who they are, or what the situation! Whether hosting an intimate business meeting over lunch, or entertaining a large group in one’s own home, students will learn etiquette essentials on issues such as ordering wine, to paying the check, to properly eating a bowl of soup. This one-session class includes a full four course dinner which will allow students a chance to practice their newly acquired skills!
