Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's first installment of their American Voices play reading series of the 2012 season will feature stage and screen star Rutina Wesley in Sam Shepard's Fool for Love!

The play focuses on two lovers, May and Eddie, who meet in a seedy motel in the Mojave Desert and wrestle with the demons of their relationship.

CSC Artistic Director Steven Maler will direct the reading.

A graduate of the Julliard School, Ms. Wesley (May) currently stars as Tara Thornton in HBO's series "True Blood." Other film and stage credits include starring roles in Paramount Vantage/MTV films, How She Move, In Darfur presented at NY Public Theatre and The Submission at The MCC Theater

A limited number of reception tickets are available for $45 the post-performance wine and hors d'oeuvres reception with the cast and director immediately following the reading. All proceeds will benefit CSC's 2012 free Shakespeare on the Common production. Orders received by November 4th will have a reserved seat at the reading as well as admittance to the reception. Attending just the reading is free and does not require a reservation, however seating is limited.
