Author talk and booksigning Carl Zimmer
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 6:00 PM
In his newest book, Science Ink, bestselling author Carl Zimmer tackles an unusual topic: tattoos. Showcasing hundreds of eye-catching tattoos that pay tribute to various scientific disciplines, from evolutionary biology to astrophysics—Zimmer reveals the stories of individuals who express their science passions through body art. Each tattoo provides a leaping-off point for Zimmer to reflect on the science in question, from the importance of Darwin's finches or the significance of the uranium atom inked into the chest of a young radiologist. Free and open to the public, Harvard Museum of Natural History, 24 Oxford Street. Booksigning to follow. Free parking available in the 52 Oxford Street garage.
