Boston Release. Filmmaker Alex Ross Perry in Person Friday! In his second feature, Alex Ross Perry has crafted an unblinkingly uncomfortable familial portrait of two squabbling, self-loathing, obnoxious yet ultimately sympathetic siblings on a journey to some kind of forgiveness. Colin (Perry), an aspiring writer living with a girlfriend who can’t stand him, is called upon by his sister JR (Altman)—she an aspiring weather anchor—to help her move out of her professor-turned-lover's apartment. The two make for a pathetic pair, plagued by failure and animosity, their interactions with others awkward and humiliating. *On Friday Alex Ross Perry will introduce and take questions after the 6:30 screening and will introduce the 8:45 screening.
