Back for the Holidays!
Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum opened its 10th summer theater season on Wednesday, June 29, with the world premiere of Open Marriage: Renegade Wife of the Gilded Age. Produced by Ventfort Hall in cooperation with Shakespeare & Company, the play is based on the unorthodox life of Elsie Clews Parsons, who lived with her family at Stonover Farm on Undermountain Road in Lenox, less than a mile from Ventfort Hall.
Commissioned by the museum and written by award-winning Berkshire playwright and director, Juliane Hiam, the play stars Anne Undeland, signature actress of many of the theater productions presented at Ventfort Hall. New York director, producer and actor John Gould Rubin directed the play.
