Maestro Artist Management is proud to present the 20th Anniversary US tour of one of the world's most acclaimed chamber orchestras, Grammy Award winner - Moscow Soloists, led by the internationally-renowned conductor and the preeminent viola player of the modern age Yuri Bashmet, described by The Times as 'without doubt, one of the world's greatest living musicians'. With his virtuosity, strength of personality and high intelligence, he has given the viola a new prominence and has motivated composers like Shostakovitch Schnittke and Gubaidulina to expand the viola repertoire and to dedicate works to him. Yuri Bashmet has a vibrant and active solo career, appearing throughout the world in the dual role of conductor and soloist.

The soloist for this tour is Latvian-born star cellist Mischa Maisky, who established himself as truly a world-class musician and regular guest at most major International Festivals. Maisky has the distinction of being the only cellist in the world to have studied with both Mstislav Rostropovich and Gregor Piatigorsky. Rostropovich has lauded Mischa Maisky as "...one of the most outstanding talents of the younger generation of cellists. His playing combines poetry and exquisite delicacy with great temperament and brilliant technique."
