The James Pappoutsakis Flute Competition will present the contestants’ Final Round Sunday, January 29 at 7:00 PM at Boston University College of Fine Arts Concert Hall, 855 Commonwealth Ave Boston, MA (free admission). This event offers the audience an opportunity to hear performances by extraordinary young artists who are studying at major Boston conservatories in preparation for concert careers. This season's finalists are: Michel Dew (Boston Conservatory of Music, student of Ann Bobo), Hanol Lee (Boston University, student of Linda Toote), Jisun Oh (New England Conservatory of Music, student of Renee Krimsier), and Bethanne Walker (Boston Conservatory, student of Linda Toote). Each finalist will perform G.F. Handel’s Sonata in E Minor, Georges Enesco’s Cantabile et Presto and East Wind for Flute Solo by Shulamit Ran.
