    Purim with Pizzazz

An event geared specifically for women in the South area to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim will be held on Thursday, March 1 at Temple Israel of Sharon (125 Pond Street) in Sharon.

Purim with Pizzazz - A Poetic Look at Queen Esther features renowned spoken word artist Vanessa Hidary, also known as the Hebrew Mamita. Hidary’s spoken word vignettes explore the concept of strong women, Jewish identity and the meaning of Purim in a whole new way.
The event, sponsored by the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston, begins with a cocktail reception at 7pm, followed by the performance at 8pm. Participants are asked to bring a pair of XL pajamas or standard size slippers to the event to donate to Rosie’s Place.
The event is co-sponsored by Congregation Sha'aray Shalom (Hingham), Sharon-Stoughton chapter of Hadassah, Temple Beth Abraham (Canton), Southern New England region of Hadassah, Temple Beth David (Canton), Temple Chayai Shalom (Easton), Temple Israel (Sharon), Temple Kol Tikvah (Sharon), and Temple Sinai (Sharon).
Cost is $18. Register by February 20 at www.bostonjcc.org/purimwithpizzazz or by contacting southareapurim@jccgb.org or 617-558-6478.
