The Mechanics and 21st Century Technology: Inside the Mighty Wurlitzer

The Hanover Theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ is a wonderful blend of traditional building techniques and modern day technology. Join Curator Don Phipps and his team to learn about the mechanics that control the instrument’s 2,400 pipes. Find out how modern technology is used to create flexibility and control. Sample components of the organ will be on display and tours of the organ chamber will be available followed by a special mini concert by resident organist Len Beyersdorfer.

The Access Hanover Lyceum Series, now in its third year, offers monthly opportunities to gain insight on different facets of The Hanover Theatre and the fascinating world of the performing arts. Join us for nine excellent topics that cover a wide range of interests and tastes. The series aims to enlighten, entertain and expand your knowledge in a relaxed social setting.
