Following the success of last year's "Opera Night," Zumix presents another evening of Opera arias, classical songs and musical theater. With a Valentines day theme, guests will enjoy tables (with reservations), refreshments, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening filled with beautiful music. Local singers Jessica Cooper, Thea Lobo and Elissa Alvarez will sing solos and duets from Handel's secular works and operas, love songs by Purcell, Schubert, Duparc, Mahler, Granados, and Obradors, as well as arias and duets from operas by Delibes, Stravinsky and Dvorak. They will also be joined by guests artists, Todd Brunel, clarinet, Scott Nicholas, piano, as well as a very special guest appearance by Zumix youth, Jessica Martinez, a student of classical voice. Artists Kerri McGill and Kate Wheeler will be showcasing artistic renderings of the poems being performed to be auctioned at the event. This will be a feast for the senses!
