Mike Donovan -- one of Boston's premier comedians since the days of the Ding Ho -- headlines the hit standup show "Boston Irish." The show, which plays regularly at Comix at Foxwoods, features three of Boston’s finest Irish-American comics. Although best known for his sports-related material, Donovan covers a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from pop culture to all nature of human foibles. A native of South Boston, he regularly works the top clubs in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and has been featured on The NESN Comedy All-Stars, ESPN's SportsCenter, Fox's Best Damn Sports Show Period, and the Showtime network. He was also featured in the Showtime documentary When Standup Stood Out. He has performed in China, where he headlined the "Chopschticks Comedy Tour" in Shanghai and Beijing. The former radio DJ once had his own talk show on Boston radio, and has written stories that have appeared in Sports Illustrated, The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Patriot Ledger, and others.
