WORKSHOPS

Drawing is the building block of the visual arts. Explore contour, light and shadow, proportion, perspective, and composition while drawing from still-life objects and, occasionally, the human figure. You’ll begin with simple drawing exercises, working primarily in charcoal and pencil. As your skills improve, you’ll advance to more finished drawings. Please bring an 18” x 24” newsprint pad, an ebony pencil, vine charcoal, compressed charcoal, a hard eraser, and a kneaded eraser. The tuition includes a fee for models.
