Jazzy Valentine with Roy Scott Big Band

Join The Roy Scott Big Band for their annual, nostalgic "Jazzy Valentine" concert that will transform Lake Pearl Luciano's in Wrentham (formerly King Philip Ballroom in the heyday of the Swing Era) into a dance hall from yesteryear! Guests include vocalist Ruth Debrot and instructors from ClubWest Dance Studios in North Attleboro. ClubWest instructors will provide demonstrations and introductory dance lessons throughout the evening. This year’s event will pay tribute to the Swing Era (1936-1945), as the band plays some of the great hits of the period such as: Tommy Dorsey’s “I’m Getting Sentimental Over You”, Count Basie’s “One O’Clock Jump”, Artie Shaw’s "Begin the Beguine”, the Glenn Miller Orchestra’s “Moonlight Serenade” and “In the Mood”, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”; made famous by Judy Garland, Benny Goodman’s “Jersey Bounce”, “Stormy Weather”; made famous by Lena Horne, Duke Ellington’s “Do Nothin’ Till You Hear from Me”, and “It’s Been a Long, Long Time”; made famous by Harry James.
