    Freedom Bound

    Presented by at Hibernian Hall

    February 12 - February 13, 2012

    Freedom Bound

Hibernian Hall stops on the Underground Railroad for Black History Month with "Freedom Bound".

Freedom Bound is a musical play that tells the true story of Addison White, an escaped slave from Kentucky who traveled North on the Underground Railroad in 1851. White escapes to Ohio where he is befriended by a farmer named Udney Hyde. It is not long before White is discovered, and federal marshals surround Hyde's house in the middle of the night. Over 100 neighbors confront the marshals and demand they set White free.

The February 13 show is designed for students in grades 3 and up, as well as groups from community centers.
