    Are Social Networks Really Social?

Our devices may make us feel more connected, but are we? Join us for a lively discussion on social media and its impact on art, relationships, and our psyche. Sherry Turkle, author of the acclaimed book Alone Together, questions if our social networks are making us more, not less, isolated. Helen Schulman, author of This Beautiful Life, examines the dark side of the Internet and its potential to disrupt family bonds. Artist Rachel Perry Welty speaks about recording details of her life, incorporating Facebook posts in her art, and using Twitter as a performance space.
